What's it about?

As part of communale oö, which will focus on the Peasant Wars in Upper Austria in 2026, we embark on a special journey through time, 400 years after the first uprisings in Gmunden and the city's capture without a fight. Together with state-certified tour guide Elena Grill, we explore sites of resistance in the form of an Instawalk. Instawalks are interactive, collaborative social media photo walks that convey knowledge on a specific topic in a pleasant atmosphere, while being guided to the most beautiful photo spots. Whether you are a hobby photographer, content creator or amateur historian – here everyone can combine political education and media literacy with fresh air and creative output.
