On August 2, 2026, the stage of the Salzkammergut Festwochen in Toscanapark Gmunden will open for the first time exclusively for outstanding female artists. Under the title HERstage, the audience can expect an open-air experience with three consecutive concerts, each unfolding its own sound world and together forming an unforgettable evening full of energy, creativity, and musical diversity. Anna Buchegger will kick things off. With her unique voice, which combines tradition, dialect, and modern pop, she confronts Alpine images of home with self-irony, a feminist stance, and an avant-garde sound language. Buchegger creates an artistic persona between clown, couture, and traditional costume, critically questioning home while opening up space for diverse identities and emotions. Her live presence is intense, engaging, and unforgettable – an invitation to experience music and attitude alike. Afterwards, lovehead will take the stage. The trio from Burgenland is one of Austria's most exciting new indie-pop acts. With laid-back drums, charmingly grungy guitar riffs, and vividly textured songs about love, everyday life, and small absurdities, lovehead creates an atmospheric sound world that is both playful and touching. Their songs emerge from the blend of Anna, Mara, and Elena's three perspectives, unfolding an immediate, authentic energy that captivates both live and on record. The evening concludes with Ankathie Koi, a Viennese pop institution and grande dame of electro-glam. With her powerful, multifaceted voice, eccentric glamour, and a performance full of mischief, self-irony, and 80s synth sounds, she transforms the stage into a luminous Gesamtkunstwerk. Songs like "Baby Boy," "Amour Fou," and "Tanz dich rein" become exuberant dance orgies, celebrating pop in capital letters and using the stage as a place of creative freedom and surprising moments.
