Heritage Day 27.9.2026Hike to SpitzvillaMeeting point: 1 PM, Traunkirchen town square, in front of the ArcheKult MuseumAfter the great interest in last year's hike to the Lion Monument, we have chosen the Spitzvilla in Traunkirchen as the "Monument of the Year 2026". We will start again at the town square and hike along the lakeside road. At selected stations, there will again be information from the history, geology, and legends of our hometown.Traunkirchen is full of secrets: Why was the Harrachvilla built twice? Where was the first cinema in Traunkirchen and where was the first settlement in the Neolithic Age? And who was this Slatin Pasha, who resided in the Spitzvilla?Ursula Rohrweck will take us into the world of legends and tell tragic love stories - "The Waves of Lake Traun and Love". Then there are stories of charcoal burner and blacksmith devils, witches and sorcerers in Traunkirchen and the Hittrach, the "poor man's cocaine"....
