The professional fishing is one of the oldest crafts in the world, now practiced by only a few. Benjamin Mayr aims to teach guests what it means to catch fish with a net, how fishermen learn to live with nature, and the value of wild catch, among other things. The tour starts at the authentic fisherman's hut on the east shore of Lake Traun, where there is a brief introduction to professional fishing. Afterwards, the boat is taken out onto the lake. Nets are lifted, and the biodiversity of Lake Traun is shown. Back at the hut, traps are pulled and crab catching is demonstrated...
