Handarbeitsmuseum Traunkirchen

In the historic rooms of the former convent, now owned by the municipality of Traunkirchen, the Goldhauben- and Kopftuchgruppen (groups wearing traditional golden bonnets and headscarves) of the Gmunden district opened their handicraft museum after years of collecting. The rich variety of the lovingly designed exhibition ranges from typical regional handicrafts to the festive and salon costumes of this area. 34 different handicraft techniques are shown. Groups of 12 people or more are also welcome outside opening hours with prior telephone registration (0664/5401364).
