What's it about?
Floodplain forests, the Wimbach stream, and the fen invite you on an exciting journey of discovery. The therapeutic effect of this moor has been known since 1364! Our NATURSCHAUSPIEL guides lead tours in all seasons and with different thematic focuses to the hidden treasures of flora and fauna. We start directly behind the OptimaMed Gesundheitsresort Bad Wimsbach. To our left is the moorland, on the opposite side the forest. Right at the beginning, we experience the fascination of this special plant world, a wildness in nature that we rarely encounter today. Tinder fungus and trametes grow on dead trees and find ideal conditions here. The black alder can only live in the wet soil due to an intimate relationship with certain bacteria.
