BENEDIKTI-MARKT (Arts and Crafts Market)
What's it about?
On September 26 and 27, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day, the annual Benedikti-Markt in Pettenbach takes place with free admission and a lovely setting: white tents around blooming beds between the church and the municipal office as well as in the parish courtyard invite visitors to stroll. There, 70 artists and artisans present a rich selection of handmade products: decorative and practical items for home and garden, gifts, jewelry, clothing and accessories for children and adults, bags, natural products, and much more! Some exhibitors demonstrate their craft at the market, such as dry felting, jewelry making, magnet personalization, and metal pressing, or offer samples of their food products. The market walk features a central area where drinks and food can be enjoyed. The culinary offerings range from wild game burgers and dumplings to fries, Bosner (*), curry (*), and Mediterranean salads (*), as well as Pofesen, waffles, Baumkuchen, and coffee and cake (* with vegan options). Our young visitors can enjoy the children's program, and musicians provide lively live music for extra atmosphere. Program highlights include: aerial acrobatics by MuhFit Circus, children's craft station with Nicole Schindler at Schinicc, Wartberger Straße 1. Saturday, September 26: children's face painting by Faschingsverein Sauzipf, 12:00 - 17:00, live music by MIRACLE (Hannah Rumetshofer, Sophie Fischereder). Sunday, September 27: children's entertainment with balloon animals, glitter tattoos, and giant soap bubbles, 10:30 AM - 4:30 PM; live music by Robert Schmidt, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Culinary partners include Union Pettenbach, Sektion Fußball, Jägerschaft Pettenbach, Schützenkorps Magdalenaberg, Mittelschule Pettenbach, ÖVP Pettenbach, and vendors offering hot rolls (Baumkuchen).
