Valentin Goidinger - Guitar Alexander Matheis - Electric Bass Patrick Pillichshammer - Drums Characterized by punchy and danceable beats, absurd-sounding dissonances, and well-sensitive soundscapes, the three musicians present a versatile program in which joy of playing and ecstatic breaking out play a significant role. Jazz enjoys a symbiosis with repetitive club music and experimental rock music. Nevertheless, the Linz-based band follows a certain jazz tradition, especially with a love for improvisation and 'free musical breaking out'. Compositions and arrangements are mainly by the electric guitarist Valentin. Influences from contrasting jazz musicians like Marc Ribot or Allan Holdsworth, as well as garage rock bands like The White Stripes, can be heard both in their playing and composition. www.xixu-music.com
