Alter Schlachthof Wels

Cultural, social & economic aspects are equally considered in the concept of the Alter Schlachthof. The Alter Schlachthof sees itself as a free and open cultural space, where a lively connection and active exchange of projects from art, culture, youth, leisure, and social fields are fostered. By car coming from LINZ/VIENNA: at the Linz/Traun motorway junction, head towards Passau/Wels. Do not exit at Wels-Ost, but continue straight. IMPORTANT: now continue towards GRAZ-SALZBURG and then Wels: exit Wels-West, specifically the second exit Wels-West (i.e., not towards Lambach, but towards Wels-Zentrum). From the Wels-West exit, turn right towards the center, always straight, four traffic lights, and then look out for a single-track railway crossing. Before the railway crossing, turn right (Charwatstraße) and on the left-hand side you will already see the Schlachthof. (If you miss the railway crossing, immediately turn right at the next opportunity and then right again at the traffic light, so the Schlachthof will be on your right-hand side). Use the parking spaces in front of the Schlachthof (or Baumarkt Quester or in front of the Wels District Court). 2. Coming from Germany / Passau / Innviertel: same exit Wels-West (the second exit Wels-West, i.e., not towards Lambach but Wels-Zentrum) and same route as above (coming from Linz/Vienna). 3. Coming from Salzburg (1) new motorway A9 towards Wels and new exit at the Sattledt motorway junction. So, exit A9 towards Wels, exit Wels-West in Wels and exactly as described above from Wels-West, i.e.: turn right towards the center, always straight, four traffic lights. Then look out for a single-track railway crossing. Before the railway crossing, turn right (Charwatstraße) and on the left-hand side you will already see the Schlachthof. (If you miss the railway crossing, immediately turn right at the next opportunity and then right again at the traffic light, so the Schlachthof will be on your right-hand side). Use the parking spaces in front of the Schlachthof (or Baumarkt Quester or in front of the Wels District Court). Coming from Salzburg (2) via the federal road and exit Wels/Sattledt: take the motorway exit Sattledt/Wels, turn left towards Wels, approx. 10 km straight until the second regulated intersection (traffic lights). There, get into the left lane towards Thalheim/Wels. Follow the road through Thalheim until the second roundabout and take the first exit right in the roundabout. Over the Traunbrücke, traffic light, straight ahead, over the Wels town square, through the Wels town gate (Ledererturm), at the intersection straight towards the high-rise building (Fabrikstraße), now turn right and leave the high-rise building on your right. Now always straight until you reach the walls of the Schlachthof. Use the parking lot in front of the premises!
