Musikschulfest auf der Wurzeralm - 50 Jahre Landesmusikschule

What's it about?

Following the success of last year, this year's musical highlight of the mountain summer will take place again on June 27, 2027, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. At the forecourt of the mountain station, at the Linzerhaus, Sonnalm, and Wiederlechner Hütte, different ensembles from the music schools of Windischgarsten, Spital am Pyhrn, Hinterstoder, Molln, Grünburg, and Steinbach an der Steyr will adorn the alpine landscape with beautiful sounds. All guests can look forward to a musical potpourri: performances will include modern, classical, and traditional pieces. The young musicians will showcase their versatility and a cross-section of their skills through the selected pieces — all set in a breathtaking setting. You can expect various facets of folk music, from string music, dance tunes, Styrian harmonica, and rare sounds like Schwegel, to orchestral arrangements, trumpet, and horn ensembles. The musical performances will span from traditional to popular, creating a diverse and lively program.
