What's it about?

Domenico Antonio Carlone decorated the interior of the church with his calm color scheme and magnificent stucco pilasters. A highlight of Baroque church painting in Upper Austria are the frescoes by Bartolomeo Altomonte in the presbytery. The wrought iron grille made by Andreas Ferdinand Lindemayr is considered one of the most beautiful ironworks in Austria. Artistic sensibility and faith have allowed this church to be so splendidly built. North of the church, in the so-called "Dechantstöckel," is the treasury of the former Spital Abbey. It stored documents, vestments, and liturgical vessels. Now, the treasury displays especially valuable sculptures, liturgical garments, and also historically significant documents concerning the abbey and the two churches.
