What's it about?
The origin of the Kirtag (traditional fair) lies in the pilgrimage, which reached its peak in the 17th and 18th centuries. The golden Saturday nights were suitable for this because, at that time, the harvest work was completed and the rural population had time for a 'day trip' in the form of a pilgrimage. In pilgrimage groups, the faithful would march to Our Lady in Adlwang. Afterwards, there was usually also time for entertainment and visiting the market.
