Sunday Concert Spa Orchestra - From Head to Toe Tuned to Music

Sunday 2 August · 13:30Musikpavillon, Bad Hall · oberoesterreich

What's it about?

In 1855, a "Cur-Musikkapelle" (spa music band) was founded in Bad Hall. Since then, with the exception of an interruption during the First World War, spa concerts have been held regularly. The orchestra's line-up varied. The most famous conductors were the later court opera director Gustav Mahler, who began his career in Bad Hall (1880), and Alois Dostal. Probably the most prominent orchestral musician was Prof. Willi Boskovsky, the later concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic and conductor of many "New Year's Concerts". The Bad Hall Spa Orchestra is currently led by Kpm. Dr. Helmut Windischbauer. The spa orchestra performs from May - September on Sundays in good weather in the pavilion and in bad weather in the guest center in the spa park of Bad Hall (subject to change).
