1550 – 1624: The Bad Hall area was largely Lutheran After 1620: Counter-Reformation: EMIGRATION Secret Protestants 1752 – 1757: Forced RESETTLEMENT of secret Protestants to Transylvania (over 150 people from the Hall area) 1781: TOLERANCE FOR LUTHERANS: Until 1944, there were over 100 Lutherans in the Hall area who attended services in Neukematen 1880: Deaconess (sister) from Gallneukirchen cares for evangelical children who are on cure in Bad Hall 1899: Establishment of a PREACHING POINT ("Hotel Budapest") 1905 – 1907: Construction of an evangelical children's home "Haus Bethesda" (today Diakonie) – becomes the center of evangelical life in Bad Hall 1934: Preaching point is converted into a PREACHING STATION 1944: Settlement of Transylvanian Saxons from Weißkirch, Kallesdorf and Mönchsdorf, which quadrupled the number of Evangelicals in the Hall area 1957: Bad Hall becomes a DAUGHTER PARISH of Neukematen with its own parish council, presbytery and curator 1964 – 1968: CONSTRUCTION OF THE EVANGELICAL LUKASKIRCHE 1970: Inauguration ceremony of the evangelical hospice: Extension (instead of 28, now 70 beds) from 1996 Hotel "Elise" 1978: BAD HALL BECOMES AN INDEPENDENT EVANGELICAL PARISH with approximately 800 members 2002: Inauguration ceremony of the new community center, planned by architect Rubenzucker
