Franz Lehár's great masterpiece with world hits like "Freunde, das Leben ist lebenswert" and "Meine Lippen, die küssen so heiß" comes to the stage in Bad Hall for the first time in a production by artistic director Thomas Kerbl. With "Giuditta", his last operetta, Franz Lehár fulfilled his dream in 1934 of having one of his operettas premiere at the Vienna State Opera. Picturesque settings with scenes leading from a Spanish port city to the North African desert once again promise the atmospheric flair of the Operetta Festival.
