Nockis
What's it about?
"Moments of happiness" — they come unexpectedly, fleetingly, and often very quietly. A sunbeam breaking through the clouds at just the right moment. A smile that silently says: "I love you." The feeling when your favorite music touches your soul exactly. The latter is guaranteed with the new NOCKIS album, which will be released on June 13, 2025, and therefore bears the aforementioned title "Moments of happiness." The album features 13 wonderful NOCKIS songs that impress from the first to the last track. The very first single, "Seit 1870," is a truly special pop hit with acoustic elements. The chorus immediately sticks in your ear and invites you to sing along. It combines a love story with childhood memories and contemporary history. "Since 1870, there’s the old bakery. Since 1920, there’s the school just around the corner. Since 44, there’s the church, 58, then I came. And just two weeks ago, I fell in love with you," sings Friedl Würcher, his well-worn voice oscillating between reflection and sweet emotion. All the ingredients for a hit are present in the duet with Italian Italo-pop legend Pupo, "La Felicità – So close like never before." This emotionally charged love song is sung in both German and Italian. It blends Italian canzone and German schlager pop with modern sounds. The voices of Friedl Würcher and Pupo fit perfectly and give the song a unique touch. Without question, the song has great hit potential. The album "Moments of happiness" is a remarkably versatile and passionately produced collection of brilliant schlager. Each song convinces with clarity and detailed production, reflecting the signature style of the NOCKIS at every moment. It is beyond doubt that their pursuit of perfection — whether in music or in the lyrics often inspired by everyday stories — has shaped the band’s decades-long success story. With "Moments of happiness," the NOCKIS deliver exactly what their fans expect from the popular Carinthian schlager band: an album full of emotional depth and catchy melodies.
