In the Footsteps of Marlen Haushofer

What's it about?

The almost pristine and unchanged nature and landscape along Marlen Haushofer's school path invite you to experience and learn about the writer's childhood through text passages. Starting from the church in Frauenstein, we hike with ranger Erni Kirchweger into the Effertsbach valley to Marlen's birthplace, where Erni now lives with her family. The yellow forester's house by the stream, the mountain meadow as the most beautiful place in the world, create a realm of unique childhood happiness for little Meta. Along the way, we also gain insight into Marlen's family history and her life as an adult woman.
