Anton Bruckner (1824 to 1896) puzzled his contemporaries and remains a mystery to this day, around which interpretations and anecdotes abound. In Steyr, he found "coolness and calm" for composing and formed close friendly relationships. The exhibition "UN#ERHÖRT, dieser Bruckner!" at the Steyr City Museum invites visitors to follow Bruckner's traces in Steyr and get to know his acquaintances. The curators show how Bruckner's pursuit of recognition #ERHÖRT and how he has been celebrated in Steyr since then. Visitors will encounter the composer and #HÖREN works by the master. Interactive music installations and contemporary compositions transport visitors into previously unknown sound worlds. The exhibition explores the life of Anton Bruckner in Steyr and tells UN#ERHÖRTE stories.
