Civil Protection Test Alarm 2026
What's it about?
On Saturday, October 3, 2026, a nationwide civil protection test alarm will be conducted again. Between 12:00 and 12:45 PM, following the signal "Sirenenprobe" (sirens test), the three civil protection signals "Warning," "Alarm," and "All Clear" will be broadcast across Austria. The meaning of the signals: - Sirenenprobe (sirens test): 15 seconds of a continuous tone - Warning: 3 minutes of a continuous tone - Alarm: 1 minute of a wavering tone that rises and falls - All Clear: 1 minute of a continuous tone As in previous years, this test alarm will be accompanied by AT-Alert warning messages sent to all compatible mobile phones.
