The band, led by Austro-Iranian double bassist Navid Djawadi, focuses its program on rhythmically sophisticated swing in the style of Ray Brown, Oscar Peterson, or Christian McBride. Their first album, "Give It To Me Straight," is scheduled to be released precisely for the 100th birthday of the legendary jazz bassist Ray Brown in 2026. In honor of this musician, who is indispensable to jazz history, "Just In Time" will play music from his jazz suite "The Ray Brown Suite" alongside their own compositions and arrangements.
