Rudi Dolezal - Multimedia Reading Show
What's it about?
They met as teenagers: Rudi Dolezal (17) as a junior editor for the TV show "Ohne Maulkorb" (ORF) - when he "professionally" attended as a volunteer the very first concert of the then newly formed underground band "Hallucination Company" with bassist Hans Hölzel (18, not yet "Falco") in Vienna - and afterwards they quickly became closer in the artists' dressing room with vodka and "green cigarettes that smelled funny". Rudi (17) met Hansi (18). Later they became friends, Rudi helped his friend Hansi get his first TV appearance, and Dolezal eventually directed (many with his then-partner Rossacher) all FALCO videos - from "Jeanny" to "Emotional", "Mutter der Mann mit dem Koks ist da" to the posthumous "The Spirit Never Dies". AND they had a global hit together: "Rock Me Amadeus" - #1 all over the world. As the first Austrian with a German-language song, he took #1 on the famous "Billboard" charts in the USA! (unrivaled to this day). Dolezal's video was the most played video worldwide in 1986. The 40th anniversary of this sensation is on March 29, 2026. The new reading show "FALCO - THE WHOLE TRUTH" by and with RUDI DOLEZAL includes sensational, previously unreleased Falco video material. Images, videos, spoken word, and music merge in Dolezal's show into an impressive, emotional roller coaster of emotions.
