Excursion by Verein Landleben to Helfenberg, Aigen Schlägl, St. Stefan am Walde

What's it about?

Registration with Claudia Hammer at 0664 73 72 03 24, cost €48.00 (including bus and admissions). Departure from the marketplace at 8 a.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2026. In the morning, we will visit the Vieböck Weaving Mill in Helfenberg. They have been producing linen and cotton fabrics since 1832, making this one of the oldest weavings in the Mühlviertel. Values such as groundedness, time, and a connection to nature and people are highly valued. We will take a lunch break at the Stiftskeller Stift Schlägl. Refreshed after lunch, we will head straight to the Stiftsbrauerei Schlägl. Beer has been brewed there for over 400 years. Natural water, sourced from the bedrock of the Bohemian Forest, malt from Austrian malteries, Schlägl barley, and the finest Mühlviertel hops complete the diverse beer specialties. After tasting the excellent beer, there will be an opportunity to visit the Candle World Schlägl. After a cozy conclusion at the “Stefansplatzerl” in St. Stefan am Walde, our joint excursion will end around 8 p.m. in Hellmonsödt.
