What's it about?

Moussa Kéita comes from an artist family in Ziguinchor and grew up with the traditional rhythms of his homeland. The drum rhythms of the Mandinke are among the most refined and diverse in the world of music. They testify to a great musical wealth and tell the story of a culture at the same time. Drumming has a lot to do with self-discovery. The fascination of the Djembe is the discovery of one's own personality. Through group drumming, people get closer without knowing each other. Drumming is joy of life and happiness! Moussa Kéita is a great 'Djembefola', a master of the Djembe and Doundouns, and also a patient and experienced teacher who authentically and enthusiastically conveys the music and rhythms of his people. Loan drums are available for €10.00 each (to be paid in cash on site to the course instructor). Please specify your need when registering.
