P.A.U.L.A. Dementia Course Series

What's it about?

Do you recognize this? You notice that a family member is no longer managing everyday life. Names, appointments, and daily tasks are forgotten. There may also be accusations of blame. As a relative, you face the dilemma of whether to point out these weaknesses or to stay silent. You notice: My father, my mother, my husband, my wife, etc., are withdrawing and becoming inaccessible. What can be expected of the person affected, and when should help begin? Or: A diagnosis of dementia has been made: communication with father, mother, partner becomes increasingly difficult, conflicts occur more often. It is hard to recognize the person you knew from the past in the behavior of the affected individual. We offer support. Knowledge helps! The P.A.U.L.A. course series offers two sessions with five units each, spaced several weeks apart. Experienced and trained dementia specialists: - provide background information on dementia - demonstrate communication options with people affected by dementia - offer suggestions for specific situations The time between the course sessions provides an opportunity to practice what has been learned and experienced. These experiences are discussed at the next meeting, content can be deepened, and new questions can be asked. Dates: Saturday, October 24 and Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 09:00 to 13:00.
