What's it about?
She arrived with a handful of sand and captured the hearts of her audience with her extraordinary talent. Irina Titova is the 'QUEEN OF SAND' and understands like no other how to bring the fleeting moment of the instant to the screen for a magical moment. Since 2018, on her first Germany tour, she has captivated her viewers, taking them on a sensational journey 'Around the World in 80 Pictures' and will finally, in 2026, delight many with a new sand art show. The show is called 'The Fabulous World of Film.' The audience follows a young man on his exciting journey and immerses themselves in the most beautiful and famous film scenes from Hollywood's dream factory. With breathtaking speed, the sand queen creates her images on a backlit glass pane, which is projected onto a screen. Here, the protagonist made of sand encounters all the big and small heroines and heroes of our favorite films. He meets the alien E.T., who desperately wants to phone home, and comforts him with true friendship in his homesickness. With the luck dragon Fuchur from 'The Neverending Story,' he flies over the oceans, travels with Marty McFly and Doc Brown in the DeLorean 'Back to the Future,' listens once more to the famous song in 'Casablanca' with Ingrid Bergman, and finally eats chocolates on the legendary park bench as Forrest Gump. And perhaps he then meets the girl of his dreams, helps her with the watermelon, and they dance together into a happy ending? Forrest Gump's mother always said that life is like a box of chocolates—and so is the show of the sand artist. You never know what will come next; Irina's hands and the sand are in constant motion as she pours it with impressive precision onto the glass and breathes life into it. The scenes flow seamlessly into each other, surprise, delight, enchant, and in the process, the audience also learns about the history of Hollywood. Accompanied by the unmistakable voice of internationally renowned German film star Sky Du Mont as narrator and the famous melodies of Hollywood's most sought-after composers like Klaus Badelt, Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Alan Silvestri, or Giorgio Moroder, the talented artist creates an absolutely unique atmosphere every evening. As director and writer of this fabulous journey through the world of film, Katrin Edtmeier is responsible—just as she was for '80 Pictures Around the World.' Between beautiful memories of unforgettable scenes and the bittersweet melancholy that nothing lasts forever, the audience enjoys the fascination of the moment with every grain of sand. Did our young hero really experience all this, or was it just a dream? One thing is certain: the story is too beautiful not to be true.
