Stars of Boogie Woogie with Daniel Ecklbauer
What's it about?
This concert series has been a regular part of the program at Spinnerei Traun for years and stands for blues and boogie woogie at a high level. This year, well-known names from the scene will again come together to ensure a varied evening. The evening is opened and moderated by Daniel Ecklbauer. The local artist has been closely associated with Spinnerei for many years and guides the program with experience and a personal approach. At the same time, he can be heard on piano and vocals, once again showing his connection to boogie woogie, which has accompanied him since childhood. In the first part, Richie Loidl and Clemens Vogler, known as Shake the Lake Stars from Wolfgangsee, perform together with Axel Zwingenberger on stage. Loidl and Vogler combine singing and piano with a clear reference to blues and rock'n'roll. Axel Zwingenberger has been one of the influential pianists of boogie woogie for decades and is a regular part of this series. In the second part, Daniel Ecklbauer and Christoph Steinbach perform together. Both represent different approaches to the genre and complement each other in their interplay on piano and vocals. The rhythm section is formed by Philipp Kopmajer (vocals and drums) and Gernot Haslauer (vocals and double bass). They accompany both parts of the evening and provide the common foundation. An evening for everyone who wants to experience blues and boogie woogie in different facets.
