What's it about?

A free family festival in the Schlot. Where has our village gone? Many families today manage everyday life alone. But it's not without reason that they say: "It takes a whole village to raise a child." Let's think together about how we can shape this village ourselves again. Saturday, September 19, 2026 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM Schlot, Linz Together with the Women's Office of the City of Linz, we invite you to our family festival, which connects encounter, culture, and exchange. Das Dorf-Fest aims to show that we do not have to bear the challenges of family life alone. It creates space for encounters, conversations, new ideas, and a carefree afternoon for young and old. Look forward to a colorful program, which will be guided by our dearest moderator Eva Wögerer: Concert with Kiri Rakete & die Kerosinen Lecture & discussion with book author Jasmin Böhm - author, single parent, and traveler Creative activities for young and old with the artists: - Sandra Lafenthaler (watercolor) Mascha Illich (concrete) Lydia Waldhör (collage) Discussion and information format on the topic of communal living: How can communal living succeed? What structures can relieve families financially, organizationally, and in terms of care work? Information stands on family, community, and mutual support Play and participation activities for children Hot Dogs from La Alex Coffee & cake from Schlot Free admission – all program points and workshops are free! Come by, bring your family, friend, or neighbor and spend an afternoon with us full of music, creativity, encounters, and new ideas. We look forward to seeing you!
