Three 10-minute ZEN meditations alternate with approximately 30-minute photographic walking meditations. The ZEN of Photography Looking through a camera's viewfinder can help to see things better and clearer and to observe them with more attention. Photography and meditation is not about the camera or about taking pictures. It's about oneself. It's about nurturing one's own creativity, perceiving the present moment. Photography and Zen have something in common: immersion in a process. But Zen has no goal, no result; it's about the process itself. It is an attempt to photograph more aimlessly than usual. Dana is an essential part of Buddhist spiritual training and is intended to be an exercise in generosity and joy in giving. Dana comes from Sanskrit and means something like "free giving" according to one's own means. At the end of "Photography and Meditation - The ZEN of Photography", participants can deposit their appreciation in the form of Dana in a designated box.
