Digital City Studio – Digital City Lab Linz

What's it about?

Discover, question, and actively shape digital technologies. Just a few steps from Linz's main square, the studio is embedded in the city's urban life. The Digital City Studio is a joint initiative of IT:U and the City of Linz. It serves as a vibrant interface between science and society and invites active participation in shaping the digital transformation. The technologies that shape our world should not only be developed but also understood and actively co-created by society. The Digital City Studio offers an answer to this challenge: it is a place where research and the public meet to jointly shape the digital future. Regular opening hours: MON to FRI mornings (9 AM to 12 PM) the IT:U team is on site WED afternoons (1 PM to 3 PM) the PTU team (Urban Development Magistrate Linz) is on site (except on August 05, 12, and 19, 2026) and you can spontaneously contact the team of the Department of Economy and Innovation, Pfarrgasse 3, any time MON to FRI afternoons if you would like to visit the Digital City Studio. Tip: IT:U workshops on various topics can be booked free of charge for groups at any time upon request!
