"I was out, on the street, playing - with whoever happened to be there. I invited people, whoever had time joined in. Learning to deal with constantly changing situations was both a challenge and an enrichment. We played around 50 concerts. It wasn't a holiday - it was better than a holiday." Hubert von Goisern and his guests played as part of the Capital of Culture 2024 on lake shores, town squares, in front of churches, in car parks, in front of train stations, and even at a construction site. One day they were found in a popular tourist town, another date led them to an old quarry on an inaccessible lake shore that could only be reached by boat. Hubert von Goisern was accompanied by HvG cultural award winners, long-time band members, and musical friends from the USA, who brought country vibes, bluegrass, and Latin American sounds to the Salzkammergut. The finale of the street music tour took place in St. Wolfgang - the only Salzkammergut municipality that did not participate in the Capital of Culture year - in the form of a remarkable, silent interpretation of "Heast as nit".
