Jan Petryka, Tenor Martin Haselböck, Organ Antanina Kalechyts, Program conception and idea An evening full of voices that share a common plea across centuries: peace. In the parish church of Oberwang, the concert Da pacem spans a musical arc from medieval Gregorian chant to contemporary compositions. The focus is on ancient chants such as "Da pacem Domine," which have been handed down since the early Middle Ages, as well as polyphonic Renaissance works by Philippus de Monte and Cypriano de Rore. These are complemented by music by the Upper Austrian Baroque composer Johann Beer and new works by Rens Tienstra, Sophie Reyer, and Vytautas Miškinis. The internationally renowned ensembles Graces & Voices and Dionysos NOW! will perform, joined by Jan Petryka (tenor) and Martin Haselböck on the organ. This creates a multifaceted vocal program between silence, hope, and sonorous intensity – a special concert experience in the heart of the Salzkammergut.
