What's it about?

Brucknerfest Linz 2026. Vernissage. People with disabilities from the institute 'Schön für Besondere Menschen' (Kirchdorf/Micheldorf) present overpaintings of composer portraits. On the occasion of Bruckner Year 2024, people with disabilities from the institute 'Schön für Besondere Menschen' (Kirchdorf/Micheldorf) have artistically engaged with Anton Bruckner and his works. In the 'Sound and Color' class, Bruckner portrait overpaintings were created, in which the originals were completely re-imagined and individually designed. The 'Sound and Color' subject offers encouragement and support for free, creative development in drawing and painting under artistic guidance. Every two weeks, talented people with intellectual and multiple disabilities pursue their creative abilities in the studio and try out new techniques. Many of the pictures bear witness to a special artistic expression, to the love of color, movement, and the fascination of the material. The music in the studio indirectly influences the design, often resulting in pictures in which the music can be found.
