Meena Cryle & Chris Fillmore (Support: Macover) – Rock, Blues & Wisdom

What's it about?

Nominated for the Austrian Amadeus Music Award, invited to the Memphis Blues Awards, second place at the first European Blues Challenge, performed at the Vienna State Opera and at the Peer Blues Festival, released five albums, millions of views on YouTube - Meena Cryle and Chris Fillmore are internationally top-class musicians and are visiting the Kulturwerkstatt Hirschbach in a sextet formation! With Angus Thomas (Miles Davis, Johnny Winter), Bernhard Rabitsch (Falco, Untouchables), Anja Wiesinger, and Bernhard Egger (Kathi Strasser), they have not only brought highly successful musicians into the band but also great individualists who together form a true supergroup. The program "Down to the bone" is like a musical road movie that surprises with an unconventional mix of blues and roots, rock n roll, soul, and Americana, and while the band plays the fitting soundtrack with dedication and authentic euphoria, one feels right in the middle of it and wishes the trip would never end. Meena Cryle - vocals, guitar Chris Fillmore - guitar Thomas Angus - bass Bernhard Rabitsch - backing vocals, trumpet, harp, harmonica Anja Wiesinger - backing vocals Bernhard Egger - drums As another highlight of the evening, we could bring the Heidenreichstein band "Macover" as a support act, who also have their brand new album with them and will present songs from it to us on this evening.
