Regensburger Domspatzen (Concert)
What's it about?
With the Regensburger Domspatzen (conducted by Christian Heiß), the world's oldest boys' choir, performing their concert "Fly, My Soul" at the Stadtpfarrkirche Haag. The Regensburger Domspatzen are the cathedral choir of the Regensburg Cathedral, operated by the Stiftung Regensburger Domspatzen. Until September 2022, it consisted solely of a boys' choir with male voices. Since then, the associated gymnasium has also admitted girls and now includes an additional girls' choir. The Regensburger Domspatzen can trace their history back over a thousand years, making them one of the oldest boys' choirs in the world. They are among the most famous and renowned choirs. In 2002, they were awarded the title Cultural Ambassadors of Europe by the European Federation of Choirs. Tickets (ranging from €30 to €40) are available at www.theaterplatz.at.
