Pleyel Museum Tour with Music and Wine Hike (2:00 PM)

What's it about?

The afternoon begins with an exclusive tour of the Pleyel Museum. On the original Pleyel piano, Doris Kitzmantel – a versatile pianist and Vice President of the International Pleyel Society – will bring the music of Ignaz Joseph Pleyel (1757–1831) and his contemporaries to life in an impressive way. Immerse yourself in fascinating stories about the life and work of the composer and piano maker born in Ruppersthal, who was once the most performed composer of his time. Look forward to exciting insights, stories, and beautiful music. Afterwards, Lössguide Fritz Genger, a trained cellar lane guide and local wine expert, will meet the guests and lead them through vineyards and Löss (loess) gorges, to the most beautiful cellar in the village where visitors will be greeted with a welcome shot of wine and a small gift. During this wine hike, the Lössguide will share interesting and exciting information about the village, the Wagram region and its wines, the cellar lanes, including earth caves and mammoths. To conclude this varied afternoon, guests will enjoy a professionally guided wine tasting. 5-6 Wagram quality wines will be sampled, accompanied by water and nut bread. This small wine hike ends back at the starting point, the parking lot of the Pleyel Cultural Center. Total duration approximately 4 hours (2:00 PM - 6:00 PM).
