BURGADVENT at Aggstein from October 30th to November 1st (including Halloween Special), as well as November 6th-8th, 13th-15th, and 20th-22nd, 2026. The scent of roasted almonds wafts through the ancient walls. Fruity punch and fragrant mulled wine warm hands and soul! In the courtyards and in front of the castle, torches illuminate the market activity accompanied by enchanting live music from the "Gasslspieler." Over 100 exhibitors await you, making it easy to find the right gifts - the BURGADVENT is an experience in itself. Of course, we also think very much of your physical well-being. For shining children's eyes... Halloween ghost tours. The fairy tale hour with Dena Seidl on the castle terrace enchants both big and small ears. And of course, the "Wolves of Dunkelstein" in their armor and medieval costumes oversee the proceedings! Alpacas are of course also not to be missed... those eyelashes... Blacksmithing and fortune-teller. Every FRIDAY fireworks. At 6 pm, it becomes colorful every Friday - the popular fireworks illuminate the castle and bathe it in wonderful colors! To all dog owners: the fireworks are loud - please consider beforehand whether you can or want to subject your pet to this. Shuttle bus to the castle... Our shuttle buses take you comfortably from Aggstein up to the castle and back down: €3.00 per person for both trips. Tickets for the market and shuttle bus can also be purchased in our ticket shop! IMPORTANT! At some stalls, you can pay by card - but not at most. Please bring enough cash. The nearest ATMs are in Melk and Mautern.
