The Lower Austrian environmental movement "Natur im Garten" shows in a lecture that flowering perennial beds are not only an eye-catcher in the garden but also attract numerous beneficial insects to the garden. With the wonderful variety of different flowering perennials, attractive and easy-to-maintain garden areas can be created. There are suitable perennials even for particularly sunny, dry, or shady garden corners. With clever design, the beds are attractive all year round. At this lecture with "Natur im Garten" consultant Leopold Mayrhofer on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the Haydnhalle in Gerhaus, visitors will receive numerous tips on the design and planting as well as the optimal care of perennial beds. They will also learn which species are particularly popular with bees and butterflies. Perennial beds thus become a relatively simple and charming component in one's own garden and a year-round experience. Admission is free, no registration is required.
