What's it about?

Austria premiere of the comedy DER LIEBESBRIEF by Oliver Karbus, based on an idea by Gabor von Vaszary. Staging and direction by Walter Serro. Content: Lili and Felix Schneider (Sabine Gremel and Hannes Sikora) are having marital problems. The cause is a passionate love letter found by the outraged math teacher Stieglitz (Josef Lippert) in their daughter Klara's (Caro Biedermann) possession. Klara, with the help of the housekeeper Marie (Christa Vidicki), tries to hide the letter from her parents, which triggers a series of misunderstandings. When Lili finds the letter, she believes it fell out of Felix's jacket and that he is cheating on her. To prove his innocence, Felix comes up with increasingly absurd excuses. His friend Paul Fellmayer (Armin Koch), his colleague Kraus (Herbert Klauß), a divorce lawyer (Paul Bierl), the mistrustful mother-in-law (Doris Leopold), and Paul's wife Olga (Bettina Bayer) get caught in the web of lies. Everyone tries to shift the blame for the letter onto someone else. Even a fake 'lover' (Beatrix Wittek) is arranged to make the story more believable...
