About 3 km outside Leithaprodersdorf lies the actual landmark of the village. It is the tower of a Romanesque church, which remained undamaged in 1683 as the only part of the former mountain church. The church was consecrated to Saint Stephen the Martyr. In the 19th century, the pyramid spire was placed on the tower. Because of its shape, the church ruin was given the name "Pfefferbüchsel" (pepper box). The current cemetery is still located around the former church. In 1975, remnants of Gothic frescoes were discovered in the tower chapel.
