Mobile Chipping Service (AWS)
What's it about?
The next Mobile Chipping Service from AWS will take place on Tuesday, October 06, 2026, starting at 07:00 AM.Participation in the chipping service is only possible after registration: www.abfallverband.at/schwechat or by phone at 02230/2418.The service is free of charge (maximum 20 minutes of chipping - no extension possible)!Important information!Tree and shrub cuttings (no wood panels, no rootstocks, no rose bushes) will be shredded directly on site – the chipper does not enter the property.The chipped material will not be taken away – it can be used in the garden as ground cover instead of bark mulch.Stack the material at the roadside. It must be on the street where the refuse vehicle drives. It must not obstruct traffic.Only branches up to a maximum diameter of 19 cm can be processed.Stack branches parallel to each other, do not chop them up and do not tie them together.Soft, wet, and small material (e.g., leaves, foliage, green waste, thuja pieces, grasses, reeds, ...) cannot be chipped. It clogs the chipper.After chipping, the area must be cleaned by the property owner.In case of bad weather (heavy rain or snow), the chipping service will be postponed.The chipping service is a service for properties connected to public waste disposal.
