What's it about?

Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 7:30 PM, Schlosskeller Staatz Symphonisches Schrammelquintett Wien - "Zu den Schrammeln". The Symphonisches Schrammelquintett Wien was formed in 1992 from the Vienna Symphonists and has been performing traditional Viennese music since then, including works by the Schrammel brothers, Josef Lanner, the Strauss dynasty, and many others. They perform in the original Schrammel arrangement, which means 2 violins and contrabass guitar, supplemented with clarinet or accordion to form a quartet, and occasionally as a quintet, unlike their predecessors. The concerts are moderated, meaning that between the pieces, historical context and anecdotes from the late 19th century are shared.
