What's it about?

Around 130,000 people in Austria are currently affected by dementia – with a sharply rising trend. A diagnosis of dementia presents those affected and their relatives with entirely new challenges and problems. To support them in this difficult situation, the Austrian Health Insurance Fund in Lower Austria regularly offers free dementia consultations at all customer service centers. Especially with dementia, information about the illness and available help is very important. Anyone who notices changes in their family circle or in themselves that suggest dementia can confidently contact the Info-Points at any time for advice. Contact can be made via the Dementia Hotline +43 800 700300 Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00. Further offers and information can always be found at www.demenzservicenoe.at. During the consultations, affected individuals are supported in their daily lives and informed about relief and support services in Lower Austria. A home visit can also be arranged.
