When cheering spectators jump out of their seats and sing along to STS's "Fürstenfeld", raise their arms to the sky to Ambros's "Skifoan" or know every line of Fendrich's "Macho Macho" by heart, then they are probably at one of the sold-out concerts of "I am from Austria", Europe's biggest Austro-Pop show. In this captivating revue, Austrian pop celebrates its brilliant comeback: as a big party with an "overdose of feeling", which can still be felt even in the last row thanks to the most elaborate technology. With a lot of humor, joy of playing and authenticity, the musicians of "I am from Austria" ignite a fireworks display of hits on stage that has made international history for decades. And once again it shows what brilliant songwriters and artists Austro-Pop has produced over the years. "That's where I'm from, that's where I belong! - I am from Austria!" The entertaining and touching musical journey leads through the inexhaustible hit repertoire of Austro-Pop with classics like "Großvater" by STS, "Weiße Pferde" by Georg Danzer or "Weilst a Herz hast wia a Bergwerk" by Rainhard Fendrich. The quieter songs beyond the chart-breakers regularly provide goosebumps, including Karl Preyer's "Romeo und Julia", Ostbahnkurti's "Feuer", Hubert von Goisern's "Weit weit weg" or "Flying High" by Opus. The audience loves this show especially because of the well-thought-out mix of selected milestones of Austrian music history! And because it would break the evening to play them all, some of these hits have been packed into cleverly arranged medleys.
