What's it about?
With their traditional New Year's concert, Großmütterchen Hatz again this year opens the new year with danceable rhythms, exuberant joy of playing, and musical journeys through Eastern and Southeastern Europe. For many years, the band has invited special guests and continually expands their unmistakable sound cosmos between tradition, improvisation, and contemporary interpretation. This year's guest musician is Jasna Sandic. The singer and performer combines musical traditions of the Balkans with her current home Austria and brings songs full of longing, joy of life, and narrative power to the stage. Together, they create an evening that playfully overcomes boundaries and makes music a shared language. As usual, there will be dancing, celebrating, and joyfully starting the new year together! Franziska Hatz - accordion, Richie Winkler - saxophone, clarinet, Andrea Fränzel - bass, Sasa Nikolic - drums.
