What's it about?

The world-famous performances of the Lipizzaner – the 'Ballet of the White Stallions' – take place in the magnificent Baroque Winter Riding School in the Hofburg, built between 1729 and 1735 under Charles VI. It is the most beautiful riding hall in the world! The performances are the result of years of training and intensive work by the grooms and their Lipizzaner horses. The spirited young stallions enchant the audience just as much as the fully trained school horses, which are showcased in the school quadrille, on and above the ground in the schools, in the Pas de Deux, and on the long rein. Enjoy this wonderful display by the grooms and their Lipizzaner horses, accompanied by classical Viennese music, in this atmosphere.
