Caravane
What's it about?
CARAVANE gathers four musicians whose artistic paths are shaped by curiosity, openness, and the joy of musical exploration. The focus is on the French-Austrian singer Caroline Auque, who contributes her voice as well as ukulele, flute, and percussion to the soundscape. Together with Turkish violinist Efe Turumtay, Serbian-born accordionist Nikola Zaric, and Georg Schmelzer Ziringer on double bass, an intense interplay of movement, joy of playing, and musical surprises emerges. Different cultural backgrounds and musical approaches intertwine to create an open, lively sound space. CARAVANE combines tango, jazz standards, pop, Yiddish music, chanson, and original compositions into a multifaceted world music experience. Between delicate melodies, rhythmic energy, and improvisational freedom, a sound expedition unfolds full of colors, moods, and unexpected turns. Caroline Auque - vocals, Efe Turumtay - violin, Nikola Zaric - accordion, Georg Schmelzer Ziringer - bass.
