Kevin Seddiki and Mateus Donato create a rare sonic alchemy between classical guitar and six-string cavaquinho. Like a four-handed piano, the two instruments share the musical space, effortlessly switching between deep bass lines and crystal-clear melodies, revealing a surprisingly wide range of sound colors and playing techniques. Virtuosic and at the same time full of ease, the two musicians move through a repertoire spanning Bach, the Beatles, and the masters of Brazilian Choro. Sometimes orchestral and layered, sometimes intimate and almost fragile, musical spaces emerge where the two instruments constantly meet anew, circle around each other, and intertwine. Driven by palpable musical closeness, Kevin Seddiki and Mateus Donato develop an open dialogue between composition and improvisation.
