President
What's it about?
Long before their first single release, the UK band President was already a topic of conversation. The reason: the band was announced last year in the lineup of the British Download Festival without having released a single song. The performance was a complete success and quickly made the band a novelty that fans and critics followed with fascination. Their debut single "In The Name of the Father" marked their breakthrough and was named "Tune of the Week" by the BBC, among other accolades. However, the mystery surrounding the band remains unsolved even a year later. It is still unclear who is behind the numerous songs that hover somewhere between modern metal, alternative rock, and electronic elements. The band has revealed almost nothing about its members and always remains anonymous and masked in live shows and online appearances. This artistic choice has already brought success to bands like Ghost and Sleep Token and has led to President being compared to genre giants, not only because of their aesthetic. Their debut EP "King of Terrors," released in September 2025, reached over 50 million streams on Spotify within a few months. Songs like "Fearless" and "Destroy Me" exemplify themes such as the human relationship with religion, spiritual crises, and existential fears. The debut album "Blood Of Your Empire," announced for September 4 of this year, will build on similar themes. With the single "Doomloop," President already offers a first taste of what their long-awaited full-length debut will create: a world free from expectations and genre boundaries, with a raw, brutal sound that promises an intense listening experience for fans. Those who want to experience this live will have the chance in November this year during the "Blood Of Your Empire" tour.
