What's it about?

The new album by the 'Dichtis' will be released in fall 2026 and is already causing a stir, even outrage. Where some people, after years of waiting, throw themselves into each other's arms with joy, others are shocked and shake their heads in disbelief. What's going on? After their album trilogy in dialect, Dutti & Urkwell are opening the fabulous Pandora's box. Whether this step will inevitably lead to the loss of their cult status or help them explore new dimensions in the triangle of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland will become clear when the record starts spinning. From now on, not only Lower or Upper Bavarians, but even East-Westphalians or South-North Frisians can find a new home in the subversive irony of the Dichtis. 'dicht & ergreifend' sell their soul to the mainstream and inevitably lose all credibility. This might be how a headline in the arts section could read, but another interpretation is also possible: linguistically powerful like never before, 'dicht & ergreifend' overcome language barriers and even gain strength and authenticity. 'The three-country corner' is sharp, especially since it is the first concept album by the 'Dichtis' and also comes with a high German slap in the face, pardon: a high German blow to the neck. Half of the songs are in the familiar dialect, the other half in High German. What seems like a loss of identity turns out to be a general attack on blind traditions and finally includes those who have only nodded along to the beats so far. In fall 2026, the Dichtis will jump into the icy water and go on a large hall tour in Bavaria and Austria. In spring 2027, an intimate club tour in a trio outside the Bavarian comfort zone through northern Germany will follow. Whether they sink or make waves remains to be seen. If the 'bilingual' concept album hits, the Dichtiverse might expand beyond the Free State. If the record flops, they will probably be mercilessly expelled from Bavaria. For the anti-local patriot Berliners by choice, that would be a round thing anyway, or better said, a mowed meadow, yeah! VIVA LA FIELVALT!
