What's it about?
The 4th Argentina Festival again brings outstanding artists from the Argentine music scene to various iconic venues across Vienna. The festival is an invitation to explore the geographies of the soul: a map where we are led from music and dance to emotion. A Baguala, a Zamba, or a Tango may also tell us something about our own history. Guest musician: Milagros Arancet. A powerful trio led by the extraordinary Argentine bandoneonist Milagros Caliva unites the two banks of the Río de la Plata - Montevideo and Buenos Aires - in a single passionate territory of tangos, milongas, and valses. The young singer and composer Milagros Arancet brings her wonderful voice from the province of Corrientes to interpret beautiful Chamamés, thus complementing the best of the popular repertoire of Argentine music — for an authentic tango night from Buenos Aires in Vienna. Line-up: Milagros Caliva, bandoneon / Nacho Giovanetti, guitar / Felipe Medina, double bass / Milagros Arancet, vocals.
